Criteria
- The Pros Awards exist to celebrate underrepresented UK-based PR and comms professionals from Black, Asian, Mixed Race and Ethnic Minority (BME) backgrounds. Individual categories are open to winners from: Black (including Black African and Caribbean), Asian (including Indian, Bengali, Pakistani, Chinese, Filipino, Japanese and Malaysian), Mixed Race (including Mixed Black, Mixed Asian and Mixed Arab) and Arab backgrounds.
- Inclusive work categories are open to diverse teams.
- The BME-owned agency category is not exclusive to agencies with only BME staff.
- Likewise the BME Founder of the Year does not have to employ exclusively BME staff.
Deadlines
- Super early bird entries must be submitted by 23:59 on Thursday 8 February 2024.
- Early Bird entries must be submitted by 23:59 GMT on Thursday 22 February 2023.
- Final entries will be accepted until 23:59 GMT on Thursday 21 March 2024.
- Entry fees are dependant on the deadline you enter. You can check the fees here.
- Entry fees must be paid in full by 17:00 GMT on Wednesday 27 March 2024. Any unpaid entries will not be judged.
Submitting entries
- All entries must be submitted via the online entry platform; hard copies will not be accepted.
- All criteria must be covered within the 1,000-word entry; they should not be covered within the supporting PDF.
- Entries that exceed 1,000 words may be disqualified.
- We may publish your 1,000-word entry online as a case study if you are a winner. After the shortlist has been announced, you’ll have the opportunity to supply a revised version of your entry with confidential information removed.
- Images uploaded at the time of entry will be used at the Awards ceremony if you are shortlisted and may also be used as marketing collateral.
- You may submit the same entry in more than one category but each entry must be submitted separately and paid for accordingly.
- There is no discount for submitting more than one entry.
Judging & feedback
- The decision of the judges is final. Written feedback will be provided for non-shortlisted candidates upon request. Feedback will be provided within 30 days.
- Entrants associated with a The Pros Awards judge may still enter the Awards, but the judge concerned will not take part in the judging process for the categories involved.
- Entrants must have the written permission from any third party who has been involved in the entry, or with whom they have worked on the project, prior to its submission in these Awards.
- We are not obliged to respond to or investigate any allegations about entries.
- In the event of disqualification, entrants will not be notified.
- It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure the correct text and documents are uploaded within the entry and that the entry is submitted for the correct category.
- At the time and date of entry, entrants agree that the information supplied is truthful and accurate.
- Once you have submitted your entry as final, you are required to pay the full entry fee.
- No refunds will be made under any circumstances.
Shortlisted entrants
- Shortlisted entrants must attend the awards ceremony or send a representative in their place or they risk being removed from the shortlist.
Amendments by organisers
- We reserve the right to extend the closing deadline, amend categories or not award categories should the standard of entries received not reach the required standard.
The Blueprint
- Entrants do not have to work for organisations awarded The Blueprint diversity mark.
- We cannot accept entries from organisations stripped of The Blueprint diversity mark.
