Veronica is Blurred’s in-house research and insights expert and works alongside client teams to unearth insights which inform both strategic and creative work.  Veronica has more than 15 years experience advising alongside developing and delivering bespoke research to inform decision-making and create evidence-based solutions. During her time at Teneo she created and launched the internal and external DEI programmes working closely with international counterparts. As a Black woman who has lived and worked across multiple cultures, Veronica is focused on giving back on a personal and professional level to support the current and next generation. This includes working with organisations such as the UK Black Comms Network and personal mentoring.

Why did you sign up to be a judge for The Pros Awards 2026?

It continues to be one of the joys of my career to be part of building a robust foundation for what success and excellence look like for Black advisors and comms professionals. I want to ensure I’m showing up in authentic ways to support the profession in multiple ways.

What Insta/LinkedIn/Tik Tok account should every comms pro follow and why?

Bill McKibben – he’s a prolific writer about climate change and sustainability. He bridges science, storytelling, and activism in a way that makes the climate crisis both understandable and urgent without being overwhelming. He was one of the first writers to clearly articulate how human activity has altered the planet, and his work continues to connect environmental issues to everyday life, politics, and moral responsibility.

What was your favourite PR/comms campaign from 2025 and why?

Again it’s very difficult but I loved the Greggs National Icon campaign. I love how it captured that ephemeral nature of what makes a ‘national treasure’ and sparked a debate…one of the best outcomes of a campaign.
