She is responsible for managing the Imperial College AHSC seminar series. These public engagement events bring together experts from the College and clinicians from NHS partners’ Trusts to showcase the work of the AHSC. Under her leadership, attendance has grown from a goal of 40 members of staff to a global online audience of over 700 people.
Maxine also leads media relations for AHSC research papers which involves writing press releases, providing media training and creating and implementing media strategies. This has led to widespread coverage in national and international outlets, including the frontpage of The Sun newspaper.

I had such a great experience judging last year’s Pros Awards. I enjoyed celebrating so many talented BME PR professionals and I want to use my platform to spotlight even more BME PR professionals. I am looking forward to judging, reading the incredible entries and being part of the experience.

Kwajo is a housing campaigner who highlights the dire state of social housing in the UK. His videos highlighting the horrendous conditions people live in have forced councils and housing associations to act and put housing further up the political agenda.
The rollout of Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour. I felt so many moments were created such as the announcement, the mute challenge and the request to wear silver in September in honour of Beyoncé’s birthday. It showed the power of her brand and why she is the best entertainer in the industry. I didn’t get tickets and one day I will recover from the sadness.
