Q&A

Why did you sign up to be a judge for The Pros Awards 2024?

I took part in the first BME PR Pros/PRWeek Mentoring Scheme way back in 2017 and realised I wasn’t on my own. As a judge, I’m keen to celebrate the immense talent from the BME community and provide visibility. It’s about championing work that resonates and amplifying voices that bring vital fresh perspectives to our industry.

What Insta/Twitter(X)/Tik Tok account should every comms pro follow and why?

What was your favourite PR/comms story from 2023 and why?

I loved the Speakers for School ‘Don’t Let the Nepo Babies Win” rallying campaign to get work experience back on the political agenda. I strongly believe education is a driver for change, so this hit home. The tone, the LinkedIn ‘now and then’ work experience takeover and the killer insight that ⅔ of young people leave school with no work experience resonated with me and sparked conversations about equal opportunities.

As before we’ve got a great DJ booked for The Pros Awards awards ceremony in July – what’s your dancefloor-filler request?
