q&a

Why did you sign up to be a judge for The Pros Awards 2026?

Because Elizabeth asked and I will never say ‘no’ to Elizabeth. Her contribution to my career journey is undeniable and I remain in her debt. Now for a version we can actually use in print in case the top one is vetoed lol! I am thrilled to be able to do this for a third consecutive year because getting to judge this not only allows me to contribute to recognizing some exceptional talent in our industry, it also leaves me feeling very proud of our growing community of exceptional communicators.

What Insta/LinkedIn/Tik Tok account should every comms pro follow and why?

Elizabeth’s account. And after you follow Elizabeth, Ann-Marie Blake.

What was your favourite PR/comms campaign from 2025 and why?

I thought the Astronomer: Gwyneth Paltrow “Temporary Spokesperson” crisis-PR moment was very clever. I love a bit of humor to disseminate important messages. I also liked the Daisy vs The Scammer by Virgin Media which had an AI grandmother answering real-time calls from fraudsters to keep them on the line for up to 40 minutes at a time preventing them from reaching real victims. The dialogue was hilarious and one could see how it would work in real-time.

As always, we’ve got a great DJ booked for The Pros Awards award ceremony in September – what’s your dance floor filler request?

Can we go gospel? I am in my spiritual era and in love with Ada Ehi, Yes.
