q&a

Why did you sign up to be a judge for The Pros Awards 2026?

I have been part of and followed The Pros Awards since its inception, and to date, it remains the only award programme in the UK that celebrates diverse comms talent. In an evolving industry such as PR, that is so often overlooked when it comes to quality of talent, it’s so important to be part of a programme that champions individuals, and continues to demonstrate how vital good, representative comms is for businesses the world over.

What Insta/LinkedIn/Tik Tok account should every comms pro follow and why?

Not an Insta or TikTok account but a Substack which I keep coming back to is Communiqué by David I. Adeleke. It focuses on Africa’s creative economy, and always provides some great insights into new media, into how platforms are changing and evolving, and generally about how we think of journalism in this modern age. Despite its African focus, there are some seriously good learnings that can be applied to Europe and other parts of the world.

What was your favourite PR/comms campaign from 2025 and why?

I spent the majority of 2025 unplugged on a career break so not many spring to mind, but if I had to pick one the ‘Lidl by Lidl’ Oasis campaign would be it. A great example of tapping into cultural relevance and nostalgia to create a viral moment that went beyond Oasis’ fandom.

As always, we’ve got a great DJ booked for The Pros Awards award ceremony in September – what’s your dance floor filler request?
